Combo over rice is now $9. If its past midnight, honestly its the only place open. the red sauce is really spicy for me when i got it the first time so now my go-to is bbq sauce & white sauce. It usually takes like 5-10 mins for me since it does get busy sometimes.

Love the combo over rice from this cart! Plenty of meat and rice, but inflation hit all halal carts in NYC hard so it costs $9 now if you pay with cash and $10 if you pay with card. The white sauce is also delicious but the hot sauce could be hotter in my opinion. This is coming from someone who has to put hot sauce on everything they eat so take that with a grain of salt. The rice and meat are both seasoned perfectly and I've got no complaints about the service so five stars!

Best late night eats in forest hills. Been going here for years, the chefs never disappoint with portions and are always pleasant to chat with.

Every time I go to Continental Ave. I take home some outstanding Chicken with Rice and yogurt sauce on the side. I love hot sauce but I don't use it on this exquisite dish as the flavor is so absolutely delicious without it. I love how the dish is awesomely seasoned!!! The other fare offered is also very tempting such as the lamb and rice and one of these days I will try that as well. I see many people also choosing that dish!

I don't usually eat chicken over rice since I had a bad experience that included me to just never eat chicken over rice again. I decided to try out this cart since I was in the neighborhood and boy, I went and got chicken over rice two times in one week! It's really good and just such a deal! The meat isn't dry and white sauce and green taste great. I literally have no complaints and will come by again.

Sahara is a halal food cart on the Eastern side of 71st Ave. Jokes about street meat, roach coach, sewer skewer aside, the food's OK. They have the usual chicken/lamb/falafel/etc. over rice and gyros. Lamb over rice was $6, which is about the most food you can get from a restaurant for $6. The guy in the cart was wearing a mask and kept a sliding window closed most of the time. That's about the most a food cart can do in terms of COVID safety. Fairly average for a halal food cart. Maybe a little better than average.

This was my first time tasting food from this particular halal cart, I had seen this cart many times over the years.my wife had brought me home a container of food from them today. The container of food was delicious. I had chicken over rice with a salad with hot sauce & barbecue sauce. The chicken taste so fresh ,& it was seasoned well. The container was packed with food ,they give big portions for only $6.00 ,it is definitely worth it for that price. This has to be one of the best halal carts around queens.

This food cart is once again a hidden gem in FH. The prices are outrageously cheap for the quality and portions you receive. It's located right next to another food cart on 71st, so make sure you go to Sahara. It's probably the one with a longer line and there's a difference!! Worth the wait of the long line, especially since the few times I've been it's the same man working there ALONE. Have patience, it's worth it! Every food item is $6-7, no tax and CASH ONLY. I highly recommend any items that have the lamb in it, as it is extremely flavorful in comparison to the chicken (which is still good) but the lamb is out of this world. The lamb salad is my go to, definitely recommend and you will have leftovers for later. PS the hot sauce is muy caliente!
